20802067 - PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public Transport is a course related to the Transport Engineering sector, in the Master's Degree of Road Infrastructures and Transport. The main objective of this degree is to train a highly qualified civil engineer able to operate in the sectors of road infrastructures and transport systems.
The Public Transport course aims to provide students with the fundamental knowledge for the management and design of public transport systems.
Students will acquire highly professional and specialized skills such as: 1) evaluate the level of service of a public transport system 2) plan operations on public transport system 3) simulate the public transport services; 4) define the resources required for the management of a public transport system.
At the end of the course the students will be able to 1) verify the level of service and the resources required for the management of a public transport system; 2) design public transport services; 3) develop a feasibility study for public transport infrastructures; 4) support a public transport operator in the management and control of public transport services.
