PROVIDING ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR TECHNICAL DRAWING
scheda docente
materiale didattico
The course aims to expand the communication and design skills of civil engineering students, integrating those acquired in the early years of study. This is achieved through the attainment of two main objectives. The first is to provide a solid foundation in technical communication of products, so that students can design using common technical drawing practices. The exercises guide students in acquiring a good technical and representational understanding of design, with tables that gradually cover the various topics addressed in the lessons. The second objective, which derives from the first, is to provide students with the necessary skills to produce graphic materials in the field of civil works design of various types. In addition, the course is useful for learning two drawing and representation software (Autodesk AutoCAD® and QGIS), which are of fundamental importance for the design exams of the third year of the degree course.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
It is expected that students who have successfully completed the Technical Drawing course will have acquired the following skills:
- Knowledge of the main technical drawing codes;
- Reading of technical cartography;
- Familiarity with graphic materials to scale;
- Dimensioning and graphical symbols used in civil engineering;
- Orthogonal projections;
- Basic AutoCAD package: model space and paper space;
- Basic QGIS package: model space and layout.
