The course aims at providing basic knowledge on computer networking, with methodological and technical contributions. At the end of the course the student will know the following concepts: layered architecture, switching, protocol, and interface. The student will also have basic technical knowledge on the most popular network protocols.

The exam consists of a test to be carried out in the laboratory, with the support of Moodle and the Kathara' network emulator, lasting approximately 2 hours. As an alternative to the entire exam, you can take advantage of the ongoing evaluation (with intermediate test). Only one intermediate test is scheduled on 11/12/2023 (date subject to confirmation). Those who participate in the intermediate test and want to use the grade will take a final exam reduced by approximately fifty percent of the time and the grade obtained in the intermediate test will count for fifty percent of the exam grade.
